Jurançon : wine nobility

A legend says that the future great king, Henri IV, was baptized in the wine of Jurançon. The texts say that Henri II of Navarre, also called Henri d’Albret, who had bought a vineyard in Jurançon, brought his grandson into history with “lips rubbed with a clove of garlic and moistened with ‘A drop of Jurançon”. Produced on 1000 hectares of vineyards planted on the slopes of steep hillsides, the wine of Jurançon draws from its royal history. We wanted to explore it.
