Contino Reserva Rioja 2008

Red wine
Spain (Rioja)

As they did not make any Rioja Gran Reserva in 2008, due to difficult weather conditions, the CUNE wineyards focused all their efforts and reserved their best fruits to produce a Reserva. The wine spends two years in barrels and then 24 months in its bottle; this approach gives us a robe of an intense garnet red. and a nose of black cherries, blueberries and mocha. On the palate, it is round and velvety with its very tasty tannins. Already a pleasant drinking wine, it could still stand a decade of aging. Very good.
